So remember when I said I would finally put up that tag post as soon as I
got back? You all have permission to punch me in the face now.
Honestly, this past week hasn't been the best.
It's not like I'm tired or anything I just...can't do anything.
I was planning to do so much when I got back, but really I've done nothing
but sit in my bed with a cup of tea, some crayons, and my old coloring
books. But, since I haven't posted anything in weeks, and since I'm lonely,
I decided to come back and try and get a post up.
~ ~ ~
Can we just talk about how gorgeous she is
this is my favorite quote ever from this movie
steven is me
I love these so much
I don't get to talk about PJ enough
He is so underappreciated and doesn't get enough credit for all the things he's made
But I'm so proud of him for Oscar's Hotel, and I can't wait for the series
I wasn't prepared for this
this is so perfect

This week on: More Under-appreciated People
*Cries because Pete Wentz*
Actually me

Well it's storming outside again and our internet's probably going to
go out again, so that's all for now.
Before I go, here's a little playlist of things I've been listening to.
I might do this more often if you guys like it??? Let me know. Also if you have any suggestions for me, please share, I've been listening to the same songs all summer and I need something else to listen to send help.
Be My Escape - Relient K // A World Alone - Lorde // Anathema - Twenty One Pilots //
Horchata - Vampire Weekend // Just Another Girl - The Killers // Don't Dream It's Over - Crowded House // Growing Up - Macklemore ft. Ed Sheeran // Pity Party - Melanie Martinez // Girls Like Girls - Hayley Kiyoko // First Day of My Life - Bright Eyes (shout out to Waterunderthebridge for introducing me to this song, it's beautiful. <3) // Ruby - Twenty One Pilots // Miserable At Best - Mayday Parade // You Got It - Roy Orbison // The "I" in Lie - Patrick Stump // Razor - Foo Fighters // Bang The Doldrums - Fall Out Boy // Collar Full - Panic! at the Disco
I hope you all have a wonderful day!! Sorry I haven't really
been on much, hopefully none of you died while I was gone or anything.
Until next post. ^__^
EAT LOTS OF PINEAPPLES,
DRINK LOTS OF WATER, AND READ A WONDERFUL BOOK FOR ME
Love the post Kelsey!
ReplyDeleteCan I join you in the crying because of Pete Wentz?
That Patrick Stump post is perfect. XD
I'd definitely give you song suggestions except I'e been listening to the same songs on repeat too. XD Thanks for the shoutout, I'm glad you like the song! It is quite pretty isn't it?
Have a fabulous evening!
THANKS SO MUCH!!
DeletePlease do, we should make a club
IKR?! I love it so much xD
well HEY HIGH FIVE its been like a week and I'm STILL listening to the same thing but oh well xD
Of course!! It really is, and it's so calming to me I dont know what it is about it, but I love it. ^_^
THANK YOU!! YOU HAVE A FABULOUS DAY TOO
Lately it's been raining where I live too and it's been thundering as well. It makes me just wanna be lazy...
ReplyDeleteThe 'i'm trying to sleep' is my life.
Being lazy inside while it rains is the best feeling in the world tbh
Deleteand I feel your pain there
I read the first part of your post (about not being in the mood to do anything) and I just wanted to write you this comment because I felt that I really, really had to.
ReplyDeleteIt's totally and completely fine to take a break from stuff and move back a little from all of the craziness of life. It's important to do this, especially if you're feeling a bit "empty" when it comes to creativity. It doesn't mean you've lost your spark or your talent or your love for what you do. You can go through these huge phases of great progress and then, all of a sudden, your creativity well is all dried up. Or you can go through a long streak of lethargy, where you just want to stare at a wall all day and eat cheese doodles.
I don't think people give creative folks a lot of credit for the whole process it takes to make whatever we’re trying to make, and we wear ourselves out really easily. It's hard for us to take a break from what we do, like painting and drawing and singing, because we put so much of our lives into it that we’ve sort of forgotten how to “chill.” And when we're in these moods, we feel useless and it really, really sucks.
But we have to take a break and embrace these idle periods as a part of being creative. You’re not broken or talentless. Your battery has just run out for a little bit, per say, and the only way you can charge it again is if you give yourself room to breathe.
I don’t know if that makes sense or if I just rambled on and wrote a ridiculously long comment, but I just felt like you may have needed to hear that, Kelsey.
Ok that is all. *drops the mic and runs out of the room*
~Olivia
Are you psychic because this is literally the topic of my next post I'm not even joking I've had it planned for weeks now.
DeleteThank you so very much for this though, this is something that I feel like I should know by now, considering how many times I've just dropped my creative work and just sat and stared at a wall, but it really does help getting "permission" from other people I guess. xD
Seriously though, to be able to keep coming up with new content thats not only different from everyone elses work while simultaneously making it interesting and cool and keeping your life together all at the same time is an amazing skill. People who make art for a living, whether they write, draw, paint, choreograph dances, or design sets for plays, or ANYTHING creative are so underappreciated because theres so many creative people out there and trying to keep up with it all is exhausting.
My battery did run out for quite some time, but now I'm back, full swing, and have so many things planned. xD
Nah, the whole thing was perfect and beautiful and I was wondering if I could add your comment in my post (with credit, of course), and I really did need it. Thank you. <3
Gahh I'm so, so incredibly glad my comment was relevant. :D Sometimes I think I'm just like Dan in that one video he made awhile ago, where he tries to say something really clever, but ends up mumbling it instead and nobody hears him and he just says, "Never mind." xD
DeleteI completely agree. Creative people run on a battery and sometimes it runs out and we have to recharge it with 7-hour Netflix marathons and hilarious British YouTubers and ice cream, y'know? xD
And you can absolutely include it!!! I'd be honored! :D
~Olivia
Ugh, I feel ya.
DeleteThat's really the best way to recharge your creative battery. xD
YAY THANK YOU I FINALLY GOT THE POST UP.
Guns For Hands has never been more appropriate. It's 3am and I'm sitting on my laptop. I might pull an all-nighter since sleep ain't coming anytime soon :)
ReplyDeleteNathan is literally me.
The Centuries Patrick thing was my exact reaction. Like, he's so tiny and wears cardigans and yet he's just like "come fight me bro I'll deck you". It's also me in every situation with my brother because I'm 5"2 but he's taller and even though I'm older than him he scares me xD
Charlotte
Ugh, I love those nights. They can be either great or horrible, depending on how sleep deprived you already are. xD
DeleteSame.
That is scary, I'd be terrified if my brother was taller than me because hes younger than me too. xD
(but Centuries Patrick is literally me too, I feel you)
Tea and crayons and coloring books is a perfectly acceptable use of time.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THAT SONG SO MUCH OMG ESPECIALLY WHEN HE GOES HEEEEEEEEY YOUNG BLOOD MY HEART JUST DROPS AND I COLLAPSE INTO A BALL OF FEELS.
THE HOBBIT FEELS I'M DEAD.
DAN.
It me too.
Omg that one of him and Andy I can't.
I like this playlist-recap thing. A lot. I have been listening to 27 by FOB (have you heard that song if not you need to hear that song it's such an under-appreciated song and YOU NEED TO HEAR IT ahem), I Don't Care (also by FOB) (duh), and Let's Kill Tonight by Panic! at the Disco (another song you need to listen to like pronto if you haven't heard it already).
*crawls back into the hole from whence I came*
- Ellie
I'm so glad to know I'm not wasting my time.
DeleteSAAAAMMMEEE.
I JUST FINISHED REREADING THE HOBBIT AND THE PAIN IS REAL I CANT HANDLE THIS.
DAN.
*Tyler Oakley voice* it me.
I. K. R?!
I LOVE 27 IT IS SO UNDER APPRECIATED and I also love I Don't Care that is on my 'Extreme Motivation' playlist for when I need homework done. I HAVENT HEARD LETS KILL TONIGHT YET IM SUCH A BAD FAN I NEED TO LISTEN TO IT.
*crawls into my hobbit hole too*
I looked through the entire list of songs for something I recognized. Aha! Foo Fighters! My favorite songs are These Days and Everlong. We listen to the Foo Fighters a lot when dad drives me to school.
ReplyDeleteYES ANOTHER FOO FIGHTERS FAN.
DeleteThese Days is amazing, I love that whole album.
Aww, the best way to drive to school tbh.
Oooh, coloring books and tea is an amazing pastime, just saying.
ReplyDeleteJENNAAAA!
*cries because Pete Wentz too*
PEACE LOVE AND HAPPINESS
~Claire
P.S. WE MISSED YOU!!
P.P.S. I made a new blog if you want to check it out...maybe...xD
echobyclaire.blogspot.com
It really is, I'm just still trying to convince myself that I'm still being productive while coloring xD
DeleteJENNA IS LIFE.
*hands you Crying About Pete Wentz club badge*
PEACE LOVE AND HAPPINESS TO YOU TOO.
P.S. AWW WHY THANK YOU
P.P.S. YAY I FOLLOWED IT GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NEW BLOG :D
Hope you feel better and more like yourself soon. :) But I love tea and especially when I'm relaxing in bed.
ReplyDeleteAs for music here:
Gorillaz-Feel Good + Tomorrow Come Today, Coldplay, The pretty Reckless, Feist, Editors and try Waterparks. :D
Do you know how long it's been since I've even touched a coloring book? Wow, like a million years ago.
Aww, thank you so much!! ^__^ Same here, I used to hate tea, but now it's the best drink to sit and drink with a book.
DeleteI LOVE GORILLAZ HIGH FIVE. I've heard of The Pretty Reckless, but never actually got to listen to anything from them I'LL DO THAT THANK YOU. omg I used to listen to Feist when I was little I'll have to find some of her music again.
THANK YOU FOR THE LIST.
I feel ya, I just happened to find a whole stack of them in my bedroom and felt like going on a nostalgia trip. xD
