What is your favorite letter of the alphabet?

probably J

What are three words that you love?

'stoked' and 'aspire' and 'meliorism' and 'quest' and 'universe' and 'timid' and so many other things, I don't know how I could be expected to limit myself to just three

What are three words that you hate?

slut, moist, and entrepreneur, purely because I couldn't spell it to save my life and it frustrates me to no end

If you were to create a word, what would it be, and what would it describe?

something to explain the feeling of flying over the ocean at sunset. I've yet to find a word that completely describes how calming it is to watch the clouds turn red and the ocean glow pink and the whole airplane fill with a golden glow, it's unreal

I also don't think we have enough words in the English vocabulary to describe all of the things that are different kinds of beautiful, so that's another thing to work on

What are your three favorite punctuation marks?

+, &, and I feel like the interrobang symbol and I would get along well

‽ I mean?? that is my mood 24/7

What are three of your favorite fonts?

Consolas, quicksand, and geo sans light

Question from Adaline: what is your favorite quote/most beautiful thing you've ever heard or read?

I don't think I could ever really choose a specific quote really. I absolutely love everything that Dallas Clayton, Ryan O'Neal, and Keaton Henson come up with, and honestly I could fall in love with a single word just because of its definition or how it rolls off your tongue.

So here are just a small handful of the things I've fallen in love with over time

Happy Little Things

So about seven hundred years ago, quite a few of you (Lauren, Ashley, Adaline, Ellie, Gwen, Maddie, Adelaide) did the happy tag, where you basically just list the things that make you happy, all in different categories, and because I'm a mushy, nostalgic mess, I'm going to do the same. From what I've come across, this hasn't been a "be tagged and tag others" tag, so if you feel like diving into a sea of nostalgia and mushy feelings, then by all means, go ahead and spread the joy. It's a really sweet tag, and tends to make people happier.

last night we finally got the keys to the new house my family's moving into, and I got to visit my new room for a while. It's a little smaller than the one I have now, so I'm currently in the process of getting rid of a lot of old things. So far it's been a little scary, but something about spending some time to visit my new room and get used to it helped a lot. The neighborhood isn't bad; we're at the end of this roundabout surrounded by a bunch of trees. I still get the view of the sunset that I wanted and my window's behind a giant tree in the front so I still feel safe and secluded. I'm still working on getting used to it, but we'll just have to see what happens.

Also, I'm finally on spring break, which has been giving me more time to work on other things other than panicking over deadlines and trying to keep from tossing my textbooks out the window, so that's been great.

I hope you're all doing well! I think I'm finally caught up with most of your blogs (good luck to those of you who still aren't on spring break btw or who don't have it at all, wow) I hope schools been good for you, and that your pets and everything are all doing great.

Maybe one of these days I'll learn how to make an outro to a post without making it awkward

Blessing In Disguise Award

So recently, the fabulous waterunderthebridge (You MUST go check out her blog btw, it's fantastic and she's uber sweet with a stellar personality and an the best music taste) has created a brand new tag and I was honored to be one of the first blogs nominated for this so wow, um, thank you so much, I was really excited to do this!! ^__^

1. Who/what is your biggest inspiration?

I'm actually working on a post on this topic in the future, so I can go more in depth on the subject of my heroes and inspirations, but a few of the people that first come to mind is PJ Liguori, Gerard Way, Patrick Stump, Dan Howell, and Megan Jones

2. What is one song that describes you?

Either Unwell by Matchbox 20 or Oh No by Marina and the Diamonds

3. Is there a message you want to give your followers/readers? If so, what is it?

There are so many things I'd like to say to you all, but one thing I want to say right now to you all is actually based on this one quote; “We tend to forget that baby steps still move you forward.”

So many people right now are beating themselves up because they're having a hard time finding inspiration to post, or just can't find the time, or maybe even have problems in their own lives outside of blogging where they're struggling to move forward. ~~*raises both hands and waves them back and forth, rocking back and forth in chair while yodeling*~~ So listen; just take baby steps. If all it takes to get yourself back up on your feet is just taking one single picture a day, or even just writing about your day to get yourself to post, or just...whatever is going on in your lives, so be it. Just keep moving forward. And you don't have to apologize so often for not posting or whatever. Don't worry, my entire feed is kinda in a posting slump at the moment, and I'm still pulling myself out of my own.

1. What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?

Every year I go out with my family and some of my parents' friends and go boating and bring out the tubes and skies and stuff. I'm not usually an outdoors-y kinda person in the summer, since I have trouble with even a little bit of heat, but playing out on the lake is one of my favorite things ever.

2. What is your favorite memory?

I have so many memories, this may take me a while. Here's one:

Once upon a time, there was a little girl, about 4-5, who had been spending her entire summer week reading and riding her bike around and was tired of everything. Heading into her dad's art desk in his office where he worked as an artist at the time, she discovered a box of paint she was told to never ever touch. 'Course, she was five, and when you're five, the rules of the universe don't apply to you, so she took them anyway and marched into this one room in her house with wall to wall bookshelves filled with books with a window at the end of the room. Her mom was talking with a friend in another room, and there was no one else with her, so opening the bottles of paints, the girl squeezed the tubes of watercolor all over the ratty rug in the middle of the room, smearing the paint all over. Heading to the end of the room where there was a large window, she painted a mural (or at least she tried) of a river with trees and flowers and birds and animals, with a little angel sitting by the river. The sunlight on the other side of the window shone through the paint, and like the stained glass windows in a church, her mural shone at her feet, and the entire room exploded with color.

Of course, the aftermath when her mother finished talking with her friend and discovered paint covering every inch of the window and the girl's body wasn't nearly as thrilling, but if you had seen how the colors had illuminated the room, you would've agreed it was totally worth it. xD

And that is the tale of when I had discovered how much I loved art. xD

3. What are your current 3 favorite songs?

Right now I'm crying over HeavyDirtySoul by Twenty One Pilots, Let It Go by The Neighborhood, and I just recently rediscovered my love for Two Door Cinema Club and have been crying over Costume Party by them.

Last thing--What is one goal you have in life, short or long term?

I guess my goal is to create something that changes or helps someone

I've been wanting to read We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach, Challenger Deep by Nearl Shusterman, 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher, and Mosquitoland by David Arnold

2. Book (series) you would like to see as a movie?

I don't really have a series I'd like to see as a movie, but Entwined by Heather Dixon I think would be amazing if the producers didn't pull another Percy Jackson on us

3. Overhyped book/author?

*cringes* I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to say The Fault in Our Stars.

I really love John as an author and as a youtuber, and he's really cool and funny and all, but I honestly preferred his other books to TFIOS.

4. The best book series you will ever read?

DON'T DO THIS TO ME.

One that comes to mind is the Keeper of the Lost Cities series, but I could never pick a favorite.

5. Book to movie adaption that was really bad?

I just recently had the joy of watching Percy Jackson after hearing how bad it was.

I'm gonna have to say I agree with all of what I've heard. xD

They tried.

6. Books that just made you cry?

The thing is, I cry really easily, I could probably cry on the spot if I had to, so there's quite a few of them, but the first book that comes to mind is The Book Thief (I know a few of you understand my pain there)

I honestly don't really remember ever not liking a book (at least one I picked out myself)
In fourth grade I did find the Artemis Fowl books kinda boring.

Okay, so for years I've been wanting to read A Series of Unfortunate Events but just never got to it, I promised myself this summer I would read it so wish me luck with that. xD

When Will My Motivation Return From War

So um

that was a very different definition of 'tomorrow' than I had originally intended

HEY GUYS

Long time no see

I've been around, posting on just about every social media but here, which has been great

I've missed posting here a whole lot, I just didn't have the motivation

BUT I'M BACK SO YAY

I've decided I'm finally going to do the tags that I was nominated for months ago

There's just one thing; I won't be tagging anyone, because 1. I'm not kidding when I say I was nominated months ago, one of these are from January and I don't know why I didn't just get up and do this sooner 2. Right now, I'm reading The Book Thief, rereading The Search for WondLa, and just recently got into Death Note thanks to Dan and Phil which are all absolutely AMAZING.

I don't think I'll ever have a certain favorite book, I have far too many dear to my heart.

2. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Vanilla because I'm boring. xD

3. What profession would you like to pursue when you are older?

Animation, or something in the animation or art business for sure.

When I was little, I thought I wanted to be a teacher, up until recently. I still would like to try being a teacher if the whole art thing doesn't work out, but art is something that I could never picture myself giving up.

4. Does your handwriting look better in marker or in pencil?

Definitely marker. xD

I actually went deep down into my blog (its terrifying down there) to find where I had answered this before because I really liked my answer but I can't find it.

In short, I just wanted a place to let out everything and ramble and talk and just a place where I was free to be whoever I wanted to be.

Never in a million years did I expect to meet some of the sweetest, most talented people ever.

Around mid-Decemberish I posted my one and only photoshoot of a couple of dolls I've had for years now

This dress I put together for Severihanna is probably my favorite. :]

3. What types of posts do you like to look at best?

I follow so many different blogs, I honestly have no clue.

I absolutely love photo shoots, no matter what it's of. Crying over art other people have done is one of my favorite hobbies, so I adore those posts. A bunch of random pictures thrown together is always a blast to scroll through.

Everything that comes up in my feed is so different and creative, and I know I'm horrible at commenting, but I do read every post and absolutely love every one. ^_^

Now to talk about schedules and such.

(this post is so wordy, I'm sorry)

School has been a wreck recently.

Now that we're crawling towards the end of the year, our lessons are harder and there are more tests and end of the semester projects being dumped on us. I've been struggling in school these past few weeks, and am still drowning in more schoolwork than I've ever been. I can't remember ever being this stressed about schoolwork before.

Including this post, I've only posted TWICE this entire month.

Looking back at the times when I used to post at least 4 times a week, this is kind of a disappointment for me. I know you guys don't follow me just for me to sit here and not do anything and not answer your comments for weeks. You guys reading my posts and checking up here means the world to me and I couldn't just ditch the blog like that.

Over this next month, I may be scheduling posts on here. It's not something I'm thrilled about doing, and this means it might take me even longer to reply to comments, but it's better than not posting at all.

Really, as I look at my feed, I've been noticing a lot of us are having a hard time posting; whether it's because school or our busy schedules, or even just not having any inspiration.

I really want to get back into posting again, it just might take me some time.

I'LL GET BACK INTO IT THOUGH I PROMISE.

I was just looking at my older posts and things today and realized that my blog is almost a year old and that I have almost 100 posts on here. Think I can make it to 100 posts before my little anniversary? xD

Oh goodness, um...

I haven't really been on an actual boat before, besides little paddle boats or anything, but water slightly scares me, so I gotta say plane. xD

Alrighty, here we go: 1. talking to people 2. spiders 3. the dark 4. supernatural things that could never even exist, but they still scare the crap out of me. xD and 5. getting stuck in an elevator

1) Book you wish you could be sucked inside of for at least an hour?

...First question and I'm already stumped. xD

I'm going to have to say...either The Hobbit or Keeper of the Lost Cities

2) What are you most afraid of?
Either talking in public, doctors/shots (there's a story behind that one)/hospital stuff, or failing school. >__<

3) Character's chapters you did not enjoy reading. And skipped or almost did.

There aren't any chapters alone that I skipped that I can think of, but one book I was going to read and decided to quit altogether was

4) A book you bought brand-new that is now torn because of how much you read it.
So many of my books have been worn down over time from my falling asleep while reading them or just plain me rereading them until they fall apart, but the most worn down ones are probably Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger, Entwined by Heather Dixon, The Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt, and Paper Towns by John Green

5) Do you have a certain routine you have to do before you sit down to read a book?

Nah. I guess usually before I read I grab something to eat while I drown in feels, but usually I just pick up a book and get lost in it.

6) Fave animal in 3 seconds? 1-2-3!

Llamas bc reasons. xD Or birds.

7) Where do you THINK you'll be this time next year?

All jokes aside, this question honestly terrifies me. I do hope to be taking real art classes and getting more serious about writing. I don't know what I'll be doing for school or work or anything really, but above anything else, I want to make art.

8) Pick ONE: Writing, drawing or musical instruments?

I guess my instruments aren't AS important to me as writing or drawing...

GAH, FINE DRAWING THIS KILLED ME I'M SORRY LITTLE NOTEBOOK.

9) Would you rather, never have to sleep or never have to eat?

Never have to sleep since I don't sleep anyway. xD

10) And last but not least, if you could un-invent one thing, what would it be?(Whoa, gettin' all serious XD)

I just spent the past ten minutes typing and backspacing various replies to this, all with one thing in common; they all cause pain.

I can't think of anything specific, since all my previous answers are basically just weapons or drugs or just things that have hurt people in the past, so I guess I'll just say anything that causes pain that doesn't eventually help the person.

EDIT: I just remembered, when it gets cold, my mom makes Finnish pancakes, borscht, and pumpkin bread. :3

This year I haven't gone out at all, but in the years before I've done it all; snowball fights, sledding (LOVE SLEDDING OKAY), and building snowmen. xD

A lot of people say Christmas or Thanksgiving, but for me,

I love New Year's Eve.

For the fireworks, the anticipation of the crowds in Time's Square watching the ball drop to ring in the new year, and it's really the only time of the year I'm ever motivated to change things about myself. xD

6. What is your fave mobile app on your phone/electronic device?

I actually don't have a phone...or any electronics...Sorry. :3

1.) What inspired you to create your own blog?

Basically, I wanted a place where I could write, ramble, and fangirl over things, and stumbled Heather Dixon's blog one day, and off I went to make a blog of my own. xD

Oh gosh um...Probably Felicity.

She was the first American Girl Doll I had seen and absolutely DIED over her when I was younger, and to this day, still wish I had the money for her. xD
